Image with a modificated PST

Modificated PST : Patrice Dutrieue
Picture and treatment : Sébastien Kersten
Astrolab Iris : Franky Dubois
Date : 15 July 2006

This image shows from top to bottom , the gold yellow tube with lens of the PST , the black ring is the etalon , a small aluminium ring that holds the focuser . At last you see a prism with the build in BF 5 .

Here you see the complete rebuild PST stacked with the SM 40 .

The gold yellow tube is separated and a 2 “ adapter is added . Here you see the back of the PST mounted on the focuser of the 8” APO refractor of Astrolab Iris Ieper Belgium. The refractor is mounted with a 125 mm C-ERF filter in front of the objective.

Because of the focal length of this system ( F 27,7 ) the original BF 5 is replaced by a BF10.

Same as above but with a DMK 31AF03 camera .

Picture of a prominence , 100 images are used of a avie of about 3000 images , the seeing was not so good. Stacked with Registax and treated with Photoshop.

Same picture but treated by Philippe Vercoutter , now we have less noise , a more smoothed limb and finally added some sharpness.
